Author Notes: This is the first part of Letters, Truths and Hopes chapter 07. I had to cut it in half because it did not fit in one entry but I’ll be uploading both parts tonight.

I need some input about this, since I’m not happy with the last part of the chapter, after Lily finishes her letter. That part comes in the other post, and it’s Severus reactions. I think it’s too mild, so I’m going to try and see if I can do more with it. Anyway enjoy!

Summary: This is AU, a third year fic. Snape mentors Harry fic, and yes it is an abused Harry fic. I know it’s overdone, but… I don’t know, I just can’t help it. Anyway, I hope to bring some elements to make it interesting and even though some of the ideas I’m using have been thought and used by others copying was never intended. By the way Harry starts this story when he is still  12 years old and just back from Hogwarts after dealing with the Chamber of Secrets.
