Hidden as Snape’s Daughter by carvell

Summary: Dumbledore never makes it to Harry’s trial (summer of 5th year) and Harry is sentenced to Azkaban to be kissed. Snape rescues him and Harry is hidden in plain sight, as Snape’s daughter; he ends up in Slytherin. Only Snape knows who he really is, the rest of the world thinks he’s dead from the Dementor’s kiss. No romance whatsoever.

Author’s Note: I’m basing this story on the challenge, although I’m not following it completely. Harry will be much younger. I wanted to try my luck at adding two other characters that are usually minor, and last but not least there will eventually be some romance, although not for a while, and not for Harry. She is too young for that.

I’m afraid that contrary to my usual way of writing this story’s chapters are short. No matter what I did, they simply refused to be longer. At least the 10 I already have, hopefully it might change but I make no promises. I do not have a beta, but hopefully I did catch most errors. If you find any please leave a comment and I’ll correct it ASAP.

Story updates

It seems that no matter what, I simply can’t make regular posts. Sighs. But this does not mean that I have been completely idle, or away from writing.

At the moment I have about six stories already divided into chapters even though they are not yet completed. Most are at around ten chapters in lenght (all over 40,000 words), and while progress does not go as fast as I would like, they are still progressing.

With the holidays coming (and having the family over for them), I don’t think I’d be able to add much to them. Still, I’ve decided to post them not only here, but on other sites as well.

I have Gen Harry/Severus stories that will go to Potions and Snitches, Fanfiction.Net, and the General category of HP Fandom. Of them only one has a name, and I already posted the first two chapters here. Snape’s child, title no longer tentative. I have ten chapters done, and a good outline of where I want to go with the story.

The others I have yet to name, but at least three are Snarrys, although not slash. I posted part of them here already, but I have made corrections, and will post them under their title once I have decided what to call them. No Title 067 -for example- says nothing about it to anyone but me, as it’s part of my personal filing system.

No Title means it’s a Snarry story, as opposed to the Untitled, which are Gen stories. The number is just a consecutive. So far I have 111 No Title stories (Plot Bunnies that are over six pages long, and two ‘revisions’) and 98 Untitled stories.

The No Title stories will be posted here, at Fanfiction.net, HP Fandom (under the name animealam1), and probably at AdultFanfiction.net. I might post at Walking the Plank, though I’m not sure since most of my stories are Gender Benders. I’ll probably write the site admins to ask if it’s alright to post there.

There were changes to chapters 1 and 2 of Snape’s Child, so they will be resposted. Then I’ll start posting the new chapters every couple of days I think.

As to Present Time: The Re-Write it’s going great, although slower than I would like since I really have to break down the larger chapters into smaller more maneageable ones. I’ll probably post some as well here, although not yet at Fanfiction.Net (The lemons will be at AdultFanfiction.Net once I reach them.)

I just found out that in March Present Time won an award at the Feudal Association.

It’s third place for best characterization for Inuyasha. I am so happy about this. The story is still going on even when I have not worked on it for a while. Even the re-write is on hold. Well this is the  award.

Author’s Note: This is the story that I will most likely be posting to Potions and Snitches Archive, and Fanfiction.Net. I already have around 180 plus pages done, although there are some things that I want to correct/add before I post, this is why I’m only posting it here for the time being. It is by no means complete, and I was waiting until I had at least half of it, but it’s going to be a really looong story. I’ve only got so far as September first before the Feast done, and it’s already so long.

This chapter is basically a Prologue, and has no dialogs.
